Four algorithm eras. This is the fifth. We know which parts matter and which parts are noise, because we were here for the last four times everyone said search was dead.
We're not yes-people. We're going to do what's good for your brand.

HubSpot is easy to buy and easy to misconfigure. Most portals we inherit have four lifecycle stages nobody agrees on and a properties list that has grown to several hundred fields.
| Connects to | What moves | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Google Ads | GCLID in on the form; closed-won stage and deal amount back as offline conversions | Smart Bidding optimises toward revenue instead of form fills |
| Meta Ads | Lead ads in; qualified and closed events back via the Conversions API | Meta learns which leads were worth having |
| LinkedIn Ads | Lead Gen Form submissions in; opportunity stage back out | B2B spend gets judged on pipeline, not on downloads |
| Slack | New lead, stage change and stuck-deal alerts to the owning rep | Response time improves without anyone watching a dashboard |
| n8n | Enrichment, dedupe, routing and syncs to systems HubSpot has no connector for | Custom logic without a full custom app build |
| Looker Studio | Deals, pipeline and spend blended with ad platform data | One revenue view across marketing and sales |
| WordPress | Form submissions, tracked page views, gated content requests | The website becomes a lead source with attribution attached |
Rate limits hit during a sync, not during a test. HubSpot publishes limits by tier. As of 26 August 2026, private apps on Free and Starter get 100 requests per 10 seconds and 250,000 calls a day, Professional gets 190 per 10 seconds and 625,000 a day, and Enterprise gets 190 per 10 seconds and 1,000,000 a day. The Search API is separately capped at five requests per second per token, which is the limit most homegrown syncs actually hit. HubSpot changes these, so we design with headroom and monitoring.
Buying the tier before scoping the requirement. As of 26 August 2026, HubSpot lists Marketing Hub Professional from $800 a month with three seats included and Enterprise from $3,600 a month with five seats, plus one-time onboarding fees of $3,000 for Professional and $7,000 for Enterprise, and marketing contact allowances of 2,000 and 10,000 respectively. The contact allowance is what catches people: an unmanaged list grows and the bill grows with it. HubSpot revises pricing regularly, so check their page before you sign.
Property sprawl. Every campaign adds a field, nothing is ever retired, and within two years reporting is unusable because three properties hold variants of the same fact. Fixing this later costs more than designing it once.
No attribution back to ad platforms. HubSpot knows which deals closed. Google and Meta do not, unless someone builds the return path. Without it, bidding algorithms optimise toward whichever leads are cheapest, which is usually the worst ones.
Tack engagements start at $5,000 a month. What moves the number: how many objects and pipelines, whether a migration is involved, how many custom integrations are required, and whether we are also running the ad accounts feeding the CRM.
HubSpot’s own subscription is separate and billed by HubSpot to you. Tiers and onboarding fees are cited above with their as-of date, and vendor pricing changes. If HubSpot is the wrong shape for your business, we will say so. Some teams are better served by Pipedrive at a fraction of the cost, and some need Salesforce.
You do. It is your subscription, your data and your super admin. We work as users inside it. If we stop working together, we are removed and everything stays exactly as built.
Yes, and that is the intended endpoint for most clients. The data model, workflow logic, integration specs and naming conventions are documented as part of the system, not held in someone’s head.
Usually. We rarely recommend a fresh portal because history has value. We do recommend a property and workflow cleanup, and we will scope that honestly rather than pretend it is quick.
Plenty of portals are well implemented and simply have no connection to the ad platforms. If that is your situation, we can build only the attribution and automation layer and leave the rest alone.
Both. Native where it does the job, private apps and API integrations where it does not. That work lives in our automation and AI practice, and it feeds the same data our AI agents use when we build them.
HubSpot pays for itself when it is the place where marketing spend and closed revenue meet. That requires a clean data model and a return path to the ad platforms, and neither happens by default.
If your portal has grown past the point where anyone trusts the reporting, book a call with a Tack expert or phone 310-620-1141.
