Four algorithm eras. This is the fifth. We know which parts matter and which parts are noise, because we were here for the last four times everyone said search was dead.
We're not yes-people. We're going to do what's good for your brand.

GoHighLevel replaces about six tools for a service business. That is its strength and its trap: everything is configurable, so everything gets configured badly by default.
| Connects to | What moves | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Meta Ads | Lead ads in; appointment booked and showed events back via the Conversions API | Bidding optimises on booked appointments, not on cheap form fills |
| Google Ads | GCLID captured at the form; won opportunity value returned as an offline conversion | Local service spend gets judged on jobs booked |
| TikTok Ads | Lead form submissions with campaign and creative attached | Creative-led lead generation gets a measurable outcome |
| n8n | Enrichment, dedupe, routing and syncs to systems with no native connector | Custom logic without waiting for a marketplace app |
| Slack | New lead, missed call and booking alerts to the owning rep | Nothing sits unanswered while someone is in the field |
| Looker Studio | Leads, bookings, shows and revenue blended with ad spend | Cost per booked job, per channel, in one report |
| WordPress | Form and chat submissions with page path and campaign context | The website feeds the CRM instead of an inbox |
API limits hit during a bulk sync or a migration. HighLevel publishes them clearly in its developer FAQs: a burst limit of 100 API requests per 10 seconds and a daily limit of 200,000 API requests, counted per Marketplace app per resource, meaning per Location or per Company, as of 26 August 2026. The per-resource scoping is what surprises agencies: a job that loops across 40 sub-accounts is not sharing one bucket, but a single heavy sub-account can still exhaust its own. Vendor limits change, so verify before a large migration.
Tokens that expire mid-job. The same documentation states that access tokens are valid for a day and refresh tokens for a year unless they are used. Long-running integrations built without refresh handling fail overnight and nobody notices until Monday.
The plan bought without counting sub-accounts. As of 26 August 2026, HighLevel lists Starter at $97 a month with 3 sub-accounts, Unlimited at $297 a month with unlimited sub-accounts, and Agency Pro at $497 a month adding SaaS mode and advanced API access. Basic API access sits on Unlimited, which means a Starter plan and a custom integration requirement are incompatible. Vendor pricing changes, so check the page.
SMS sent before A2P registration is done. Unregistered traffic gets filtered by carriers, and the business concludes that SMS does not work when the real problem is a registration form nobody completed. This is the most common single failure we are called in to fix.
Tack engagements start at $5,000 a month. What moves the number: how many sub-accounts and locations, whether a migration from another CRM is involved, how many lead sources need capture, and whether we are also running the media feeding it.
Your HighLevel subscription is separate and billed by HighLevel to you, at the tiers cited above with their as-of date. Phone and SMS usage is metered on top of that and is genuinely variable, so we model it against expected lead volume rather than quoting a flat figure. Vendor pricing and messaging rates both change.
You do. It is your agency or location account and your billing. If you are already inside another agency’s sub-account, we will help you get a snapshot exported and moved into an account you control before we build anything.
Yes. Snapshots, pipeline design, sequence copy, automation logic and integration specs are documented and handed over as part of the system we build.
Usually. We keep contact history and rebuild the automation layer around it. Where we insist on change is compliance and speed to lead, because those two decide whether the rest matters.
Then the practical question is whether you own the account. If you do not, that is the first thing to fix regardless of who ends up running it.
Yes, once the pipeline and routing are sound. Voice and chat agents that qualify, book and write back to the CRM are built through our AI agent development work, and the connective layer sits in our automation and AI practice. Tack are integrators, not trainers.
GoHighLevel works when speed to lead is measured in seconds, the messaging is properly registered, and booked appointments flow back to the ad platforms. Those three decide the outcome far more than the sequence copy does.
If leads are arriving and the first follow-up happens hours later, book a call with a Tack expert or phone 310-620-1141.
