The Tack Deal Maker — Build a Team
What should a marketing team actually cost?
Seven quick questions, one at a time. Real numbers, a real team, and a straight answer if you tell us what you can spend.
First — who are you?
This decides who from our side picks up the phone, and how fast.
Where do you want to start?
Both roads end in the same place. Pick whichever you actually know.
Who do you need?
Tap anyone you want on the team. You can change this later.
Agency fees are about 21% of a marketing budget — the rest is media, tools and salaries (Gartner CMO Spend Survey, 2025). We size against that share, not against your whole budget.
How big is the company?
Bigger company, more stakeholders and approvals. That is real work, so it changes the price.
How hard do you want to push?
Same people either way. This is about how much of them you get.
Where should we send it?
Your number is ready. Tell us who you are and it appears on the next screen — plus a written plan you can forward.
Here is your team.
A range, not a single number — because the honest answer depends on the month.
Excludes ad spend, licences, production, jumpstart fee and promotions.
Think that is too much? Make us an offer.
Name what you can actually spend a month. You get a straight answer in one click — yes, a counter, or the team that number really buys.
What are we building?
One-time build, priced as a project. Not a retainer.
Tell us about it
This is what moves the number.
How big is it?
Roughly. Nobody expects you to have counted.
Your project estimate.
One-time cost. Hosting, licences and ad spend sit outside it.
Retainer ranges are level-of-effort estimates and exclude ad spend, licences and production. Project ranges are one-time build costs. Team names below are the roles you get, not a staff list — you meet the actual humans on the call. Final pricing is confirmed on a 20-minute call, on the call, not in a follow-up deck.

Marketing team estimate
Your team
| Specialist | What they own | Monthly |
|---|---|---|
| Estimated monthly total | — | |
What a month looks like
| Cadence | What happens |
|---|---|
| Every day | Changes ship. Campaigns, pages and content are worked on daily — not batched into a monthly report. |
| Every week | 30-minute working call, same time, same people. What moved, what we are changing, what we need from you. Notes and actions the same day. |
| Every month | Performance review against the number, with the spend, the results and next month’s plan. One hour, your stakeholders welcome. |
| Every quarter | Strategy reset. What to double down on, what to stop, and whether the team shape is still right. |
| Always on | Live reporting dashboard, and a reply on Slack or email inside one business day. |
Responsibilities by role
Included every month
- Excellence every time. Not most months. Every one.
- We show up. Same faces, every call, all year.
- No excuses. One team owns the number.
- We grind. Changes ship daily, not in a monthly deck.
- We make it look easy. That part took seventeen years.
Not included
- Advertising spend paid to Google, Meta, LinkedIn or any platform
- Software licences and third-party subscriptions
- Production costs — shoots, talent, travel, print
- Jumpstart / onboarding fee, quoted separately
- Promotional credits and seasonal offers
- Applicable taxes
Terms this estimate assumes
- Validity. This estimate is valid for 30 days from the date shown, after which figures may be re-quoted.
- Basis of estimate. Prices reflect the team, company size and level of effort selected. Any change to scope, channels or pace is re-estimated.
- Term. Pricing assumes a twelve-month agreement. Shorter terms are priced separately and are typically higher, because the team is committed for the year.
- Billing. Monthly in advance. Advertising spend is billed by the platform directly to you, not by us.
- Exclusions. The items listed under “Not included” are outside this figure and quoted separately.
- Your inputs. Work assumes timely access to accounts, assets, approvals and a named point of contact.
- Ownership. Deliverables transfer to you on payment. Tools, frameworks and pre-existing materials remain ours.
- Confidentiality. Both sides keep the other’s commercial information confidential.
- No guarantee of result. We commit to the work and the reporting, not to a specific ranking, cost per lead, conversion rate or revenue figure. Marketing outcomes depend on factors outside our control, including your market, pricing, product and sales follow-up.
- Third parties. Platform behaviour, algorithm changes, account suspensions and ad approval decisions by Google, Meta, LinkedIn and others are outside our control and are not a breach of any agreement.
- Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tack Media’s total liability under any agreement arising from this estimate is limited to the fees paid for the month in which the claim arose, and neither party is liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost revenue.
- Governing law. Any agreement arising from this estimate is governed by the laws of the State of California, and the parties submit to the courts of Los Angeles County.
These terms summarise the assumptions behind the estimate. They are not the agreement itself and are not legal advice. The operative terms are those in the signed services agreement.
Most agency sites say “pricing varies, every project is unique”. Translated: tell us your budget first, and our price will land suspiciously close to it.
So here is the deal. You get the real number before you talk to anyone — the same rates we quote on a Tuesday. If your budget and your wish list do not match, it says so, instead of you finding out in month three.
We will not
- Hide the price behind a demo.
- Quote one number and invoice another.
- Sell you one freelancer as a five-person team.
We ask for
- A work email and your website.
- Twenty minutes if the number works.
- Nothing else. We call you. No drip, no chasing.
Take the number and never call us. That is allowed. That is the point.
